Travel/Hotel Info

A big Emerald City welcome to our out-of-town guests!  We know you want to have a fantastic time while visiting Seattle for the Hoedown, and your hotel and transportation are going to be a big part of that.

Rain Country has not booked a room block at any hotel this year, nor otherwise contracted with any of the businesses listed here.  We do not specifically endorse any of them.  Prices are based on published information and we cannot guarantee them to be in effect when you make reservations.

Getting to Capitol Hill

If you are coming to Seattle by plane, our Capitol Hill dance venues are some distance from your terminal or depot. You may need to rent a car or take a transit option to get to your hotel or to the Hill.  There are several options to getting to the area from the Airport:

Staying in the Area

Seattle’s gay neighborhood is nestled comfortably on Capitol Hill, just East of downtown.  In addition to the downtown/Capitol Hill area, visitors often choose to stay near the Seattle Center (home of the world-famous Space Needle).  Any of these areas are at most a short cab ride to our venues.  Every effort has been made to recommend hotels that are gay friendly and actively support our community.

Sightseeing

If your Ruby-shod feet can handle more after three days of dancing, an easy way to see the highlights is to purchase a CityPass or a Go Seattle Card, which provide discount admission to multiple sights.
