EntertainmentWe will have several great dance groups preforming for your entertainment during the Saturday night Emerald City Hoedown Ball. |
Rain City Rhythm Riders
The Rain City Rhythm Riders were formed in 2001 to boost the level of local dancing via choreography, advanced dance moves, repetition, and performance. Currently with ten members, they have performed about a dozen routines over the years, everything from line dance medleys to square dance to swing.
Their next challenge will be a fancy West Coast Swing/Shuffle medley, preparing for Sundance Stompede in San Francisco this coming November. New members are invited to join the Rhythm Riders between now and Pride.

Golden Gate Clogging Company
The Golden Gate Clogging Company (“GGCC”) is a performing company of men and women who love to clog and share that love with others. Under the initial guidance of Barbary Coast Cloggers Artistic Director Matt Ellinger, The GGCC was formed in 2005 to create more performance opportunities for cloggers in the Bay Area. In building its repertoire, the company likes to reflect the artistry of different clogging choreographers in the area.
The GGCC can be reached online at goldengateclogging.com.
The VisQueens
Dubbed “The Seattle leather community’s biggest embarrassment,” the
VisQueens are a group of local leathermen and bears who for the past ten years have donned hair, heels, and lingerie and put together comedy Broadway
song and dance numbers. (Okay, lip sync and dance.) “Cell Block Tango”,
“Hey Big Spender”, bits from Hairspray and Moulin Rouge and Dreamgirls, to
name but a few.
Rumor has it they’ve even been seen performing as boys now and then.
Swing-amajig
Swing-amajig is a newly formed professional lindy hop performance
team. Like the original lindy teams of the 30s, we are social
dancers at heart. We get our inspiration from the ever changing
improvisational dynamic of the social dance floor. We enjoy working
together to create collaborative performance pieces that highlight
the expressiveness and vitality of this classic American dance. We
are available for performances and lessons. You can find us on the
web at www.swing-amajig.com.
Individual dancers include Bobby Bonsey, Tina Bunck, Everett Chun, Leah Stahly, Steven Stevenson, and Sandra Morrow.
