Instructors
We have a great event planned this year, featuring more guest instructors than ever before, including superstar line dance instructor John Robinson and West Coast Swing champion Katie Schneider. Visit our Instructors page for a full list.
Workshops
This years’s hoedown features three tracks of workshops on Friday and Saturday, and two tracks on Sunday, for a total of 37 hours of instruction. That will include workshops in all the Rain Country core couples dances (Two-Step, Waltz, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Night Club, and Shadow), eleven line dance classes (including nine new dances), and introductions to several other dance styles such as Tango, Hustle, and Foxtrot. Visit our Events page for a full list.
Host Hotel
We are again at the fabulous Renaissance Seattle Hotel, with great views of First Hill, Downtown, and Puget Sound, with a killer room rate of just $129/night (double occupancy). Hotel rate expires April 1! Visit the Hotel page for more details, including about parking and tourist options in Seattle.
Dance Rooms
Inside the hotel, we have moved to the beautiful Madison Ballroom on the 2nd floor, with its high ceilings, tall mirrors, and floor to ceiling windows looking out at First Hill. During the day, the room will be divided into three workshop rooms, and at night, we will have two of those spaces for our main ballroom and the third for a dedicated line dance room (which will be running Friday and Saturday nights this year, and on Sunday as well if there is demand). Check out the Schedule page.
Vendors
We will have severla vendors this year. Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn will havedance shoes and Evenin’ Star dance boots available on Saturday. Dance Seamlessly will have dance socks available all three days; you probably never thought much about your socks while dancing (except when they misbehaved!), but they have ones made for dancers. John Robinson’s J-Mart will have music and other dance items on Sunday. The Massage Team will be present all three days to work out your kinks. The Northwest Community Bootblack Ruin will be putting a shine on your boots and dance shoes on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.
